Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is a commune in the French Alps, in the Savoie department.   Its ski area is part of the Espace Diamant, which means that it has 192 km of downhill ski runs and 123 km of cross-country ski runs : a winter sports enthusiast's dream ! Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is also a typical mountain village, with houses made of wood and stone, an 18th century baroque church and a lively central square.  Surrounded by mountains, it offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Located in the Hautes-Alpes department in the heart of the Forêt Blanche ski area, the resort of Vars culminates at an altitude of 2000m . It's a traditional mountain village nestled in the sublime setting of a larch forest at the foot of the Eyssina peak (2837m). The resort's 4 villages offer a wide range of activities (tobogganing, ice grotto, etc.) and amenities.   On the ski side, the resort provides access to the  La Forêt Blanche ski area : 185km of runs, 36 lifts, 1100m vertical drop, 50km of footpaths.
